A message from Club President, Trevor O’Dwyer:
Good morning everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that we held a Zoom meeting as a board last night to discuss a few things including finance, and our season plans.
At present, we have developed a contingency plan to address multiple different scenarios and timelines given the COVID situation.
We have been in contact with The City of DC Parks and Rec, and the BCSSA President (how convenient ). Obviously no one can predict how this goes, but we are preparing for a couple of different scenarios.
Outside of a major change in the COVID situation, we will be able to communicate our next steps April 17. Which will be in response to direction provided by BCSSA.
If and when life gets back to a semblance of normal, we plan to have a season of some sort.
We are excited about the upcoming season and the possibility of supporting many more kids as it looks like we may be one of very few programs ready to go when the dust settles.

We are excited to announce the opportunity for Div 4+ girls to participate in a girls kickboxing session in April. Seats are limited and registration will be required. A link for registration is attached and tickets will be for sale at 8:00 am on Saturday, March.14. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis and is for the entire session of classes. Please read the details below.
There will be five 50 minute sessions for the month of April (1, 8, 15, 22, 29) on Wednesdays 5:30-6:20 pm (arrive 10 minutes early).
Location: True North Fitness group studio (10301 10 St)
This session will be open to female athletes Div4+ and has a limited number of participants. (The space does not allow for more participants.) There are 14 spots available. Spots may be opened to Div 3 athletes if space is available .
Kickboxing classes will include structured drills with participants working with partners striking pads. There will also be body weight (own) exercises incorporating functional movements such as squatting, push ups, crunches. The classes are designed to provide a fun alternative training environment.
